“The Sanskrit word “yoga” comes from the word “yuj” which means “to unite.” Hence, yoga is the union of the individual with the whole of existence, also commonly referred to as “self-realization,” “nirvana,” or “enlightenment.”

Many people have lost their connection with the earth and one another. Although yoga was initially intended on being a self or 1-on-1 practice, if you practice with other people you will become more tuned in to your own self awareness.

The number one thing you can do for your body is move. Even though hydration and nutrition are vital to survival, how much you move will determine how your body reacts to injury/infection/regeneration. Yoga has 84 basic postures that we are all able to perform when we were babies. It is through bad motor movements, bad habits and injuries that we are unable to do these poses anymore. If you can master these movements, you will achieve a level in life that only babies and yogi’s share.
